This report is effective 6 AM, Saturday, February 4th.It's the day we've all been waiting for... Mardi Gras at Song Mountain. You really don't want to miss this! Yeah, I know, you have NO snow, BUT, we have plenty. The skiing and riding remain surprisingly good... COME ON DOWN! Song Mountain will be open Saturday, February 4th from 9 AM to 8 PM with 3 lifts serving 10 trails. We are skiing and riding on a 10 to 34" base with a machine groomed, loose granular surface. It's currently 32 degrees and overcast. The forecast for Saturday is partly cloudy this morning with a chance of a flurry... becoming partly sunny in the afternoon... highs in the mid 30's. Just about perfect for a Mardi Gras party! Well we're kinda back to winter. Kinda like, back to the future. The outlook for the weekend, next week, and well into February steadily improves. It sure looks like the backside of the winter is going to be as good as the frontside was bad. Excellent spring conditions today... Even some sunshine... COME ON DOWN! Just remember... if you're not skiing or riding at Song Mountain, you might get a grandson with a dog collar! Keep praying for snow and cold. We will see you on the slopes.
